Carson Ramblings

Carson's new word is 'hatched'. As in
"His head is 'posed to be hatched to his body, but I consploded it."

We were outside the other day and Miss Dunn took off across the street. Well it just bothers Carson to no end for her to leave the yard, so we walked over there to try and round her up. She went behind a house, so I told him to walk up the steps by the house to go back there. He goes a few steps, looks down, and about falls over backwards. "There are snails here!" Well, okay, what's the problem? "I'm afraid of them!" No way would he step over those deadly snarling snails. I guess he thought they would get him with their blazing speed and ferocious jaws. I had to help him around the steps, and when he came back, I had to help him again to get around them.

Last Sunday was most probably our last day to ski for this season. The snow is getting sparse, and what's there is sticky and slushy, and hard to ski in. We came down twice, and Carson was ready to go home. We made him sit with Steve while I went down a blue run (green is the easiest, blue is the next step up). The snow was much better there, and it wasn't terribly hard. He settled down after I got back, and we asked him if he wanted to go on a "Big Boy Run". He said yes, so off we went, and he did great, and really enjoyed it, and was proud of himself. A good end to our first family ski season.
