The Utah-Colorado State game was today. Weather forecast called for high of 48 degrees and rain. Oh joy. We dressed up in long johns and ski coats, gathered two blankets, and headed out. Carson had on a turtleneck with a football embroidered on the collar over his long johns and his Notre Dame jersey over that. "I'm a football player!" Mr "I've got the Heat of the City on my Side" wouldn't wear his coat or mittens. He finally put it on right before the half, only because he and Steve were going outside to throw the football. Steve said when they got out there, there were all these crazy kids in tshirts and shorts, so the coat came off immediately. They came back up right after the band started their half time show (Carson loves the band. Steve's greateset hope is that he end up a Band Geek. Those would be my genes). It drizzled the rest of the time and was rather chilly, and we finally left in the fourth quarter. Mr Heat took off his coat yet again for the whole trip home, though he ended up in a cold snit cause his mittens wouldn't go on. Both hands and mittens were cold and wet, and they just stuck. After a small meltdown, he rode Daddy's shoulders home. He's wrapped up in his people blanket, lying on his Elmo couch, watching Florida beat South Carolina. And now he's asleep...
