October

October is a huge month for the Hodgins family. My birthday is Oct 15, my brother's and mother's is Oct 23, my niece's is Oct 24 (nearly three generations on the same day!), my parent's anniversary is Oct 28, and sadly enough, my Pop also died on Oct 28. Mama was here with us on the 28th this year, which I was very glad of. I wish Carson could have known his Pop. What a pair they would have been. But I talk about Pop to Carson, and tell him he'll see him one day in heaven. So every once in a while Carson talks about Pop and heaven, and that heaven is WAYYY up there (pointing up at the sky).

Our wedding anniversary is Oct 30. And - when we were growing up in Starkville, my parents had to buy car tags, and in Mississippi, they were outrageous! So I'm sure my parents were quite broke by the end of the month. :-)

In the Burian family, brother in law Phil and Janice were also married in October (can't remember the exact date!) And Grandma (or GreatMama as Carson calls her) turned 92 on October 25! What a wonderful lady she is. Here's a good picture of her from our last visit to Chicago this past Labor Day weekend.
