Weekend's over...

I ordered a 2G memory card for our new camera. They shipped the wrong one, so the 32MB one that came with it only holds about six pictures. So this is seriously limiting our ability to take lots of goofball pictures at this time. However, I have downloaded them to my laptop so I'll be sure to post some of the better ones we have so far. We've got season passes to ski at The Canyons, and need to upload a picture for our lift ticket. So I've had a good time taking my own picture over and over.

Thursday Carson decided to be a Kitty Cat, so he wore his same outfit he wore to Animal/Movie Day a week or so ago. Then he was as mouse, now he was a cat. Funny, he looked exactly the same to me, but I was quickly corrected if I dared call him a mouse. He didn't wear the outfit on Friday, but still had the nose and whiskers redrawn.

Friday I took Carson in for his flu shot. I didn't tell him what we were doing, so when we pulled in the parking lot at the doctor's office, he said "Where are we?" and I told him he was going to get his flu shot. This is after talking it up really big about how mine and Steve's didn't hurt at all. Oh my, the floodgates opened, and tears are just streaming down his face. But he didn't fight me at all. I carried him up to the office, and since it took a few minutes for the nurse to get ready, he was able to stop crying. We go in the examination room, I sit by him and hold his hands, the nurse tells him to look at a picture on the wall and find the duck, then almost immediately "We're done!" Carson didn't even flinch. I was simply amazed. But he got a Tazmanian Devil bandaid, and a token to choose a toy from the Toy Tower, so life was good.

Friday Night was Parent's Night Out at preschool, so Carson went back to school with several other children whose parents needed a break from life. Steve and I decided to take in a movie. We also planned to imbibe in some wine at the wine bar, but traffic and parking precluded that. We went to see Stranger than Fiction, which was very good. Steve expected it to be a usual goofball Will Ferrall movie, which it was not, so he was disappointed. I on the other hand thoroughly enjoyed it because it was not a usual goofball Will Ferrall movie.

Saturday evening, Carson's friend Max from school and his family came over for dinner. We had a great time. I made some fabulous lasagna (if I do say so myself). Dessert left something to be desired, but that was okay too. Max had an unfortunate accident, the details of which I can assure you you do NOT want to know, so the boys got in the bathtub for probably close to an hour. I don't know if any soap ended up touching their bodies, but that's okay too. They are such typical little boys. So precious. Carson got an hour nap before they got there. Thank goodness, since he was nearly two hours late going to bed Friday night since we were home late from PNO.

I was hoping for a late sleeper this morning since he went to bed late again last night, but no such luck. He did pretty good today, but went without a nap. He got plenty of football playing in, and we went in the jogging stroller to the park late afternoon. He only lasted about half an hour or so before realizing it was too cold for a football jersey and shorts. So I wrapped him in a blanket and we jogged home. I actually got him asleep about half an hour earlier. Let's see if we can get a night where he never wakes me up...
